The café door opens once again, and Ravya rushes inside with her college bag slung over one shoulder. 🎒🏃♀️
“Sorry I'm late!” Ravya apologizes. 😅
“Classes again?” Jarett asks.
Ravya lets out a tired sigh. “Unfortunately.” 😩📚
Jarett laughs, while Isabella simply shakes her head. 😂
“Go change first,” Isabella tells her.
“Yes, Boss,” Ravya replies before quickly disappearing to change. 🫡
The café soon becomes busy once more. Hours pass before anyone even realizes. ⏳☕
10:00 PM 🌙
Finally, it is closing time. The last customer leaves, and the café doors are locked. 🔒🚪
Everyone gathers together, exhausted after another long day. 😮💨
Paloma brings out some snacks, and Jarett immediately reaches for one. 🍪
Ravya smacks his hand away. 😤
“Leave some for the rest of us,” Ravya scolds.
“Sharing is overrated,” Jarett replies. 😂
“You're impossible,” Ravya mutters. 🙄
Their laughter echoes throughout the café. 😂☕🤍
Before long, the conversation drifts toward the city's newest obsession—
The Gangster Boss. 🔫🖤
Ravya lowers her voice dramatically. “I hear they took over another territory.” 😳
“People say their boss is terrifying,” Jarett adds. 😨
Paloma sighs. “Young people and their gossip.” 🙄
“But it's true!” Ravya insists. “They say he's never lost. They say he's dangerous. They say he's incredibly rich. They say—” 😱
“People say too much,” Isabella interrupts calmly. 😐
Her voice silences the endless rumors.
She has never cared about rumors or gossip not even once. 🚫
Suddenly,
The café door opens. 🚪
Silence falls over the room. 🤐
Three men walk inside. 🖤
The atmosphere changes instantly. ⚡
Paloma freezes. Ravya freezes. Even Jarett looks nervous. 😨
All three men carry an intimidating presence—the kind of men people instinctively stay away from. 🖤🔫
From where Isabella sits behind the cash counter, she can't get a clear look at them. Paloma, Jarett, and Ravya are standing in front of her, blocking most of her view. All she knows is that three strangers have entered the café after closing hours.
Jarett lowers his voice. “I'll tell them we're closed.”
“No,” Isabella says.
Everyone turns to look at her. 👀
Isabella stands up from her chair. “I'll go.”
Paloma blinks in surprise.
Ravya looks at her. “What?” 😳
Jarett frowns. “Why?”
“Because it's my duty as the boss,” Isabella says.
She steps out from behind the counter and walks toward their table.

The moment she stood up from behind the counter, my eyes found her. 👀

She disappeared.
