"Nangyari na naman."
Freya stared at her phone. _Seen._ No reply. Same reason. Same ending.
"He said I was too much again," she whispered to her small room.
Every guy was the same. When she was quiet, they loved her. Sweet, understanding, funny Freya. But the moment she said, "Nasaktan ako dun," or "Can we talk about this?" — suddenly she was difficult. Dramatic. A witch.
She wasn't asking for too much, right?
> "Mahirap ba intindihin that I just wanted to be understood?" she typed in her notes app, then deleted it. "I just wanted to say what's in my mind. Is that so wrong?"
She pulled her blanket closer.
"My dear soulmate, nasaan ka na?" she whispered to the ceiling, tears falling. "Nisaktan nila ang puso ko. Come get me. I'm tired na po. So, so tired."
She thought love was supposed to be someone who stays even when your voice shakes.
That night, in her head, she finally imagined him answering.
---
A soft knock on her imaginary door.
*Him:* "Nandito na ako. Sorry, na-traffic ako sa ibang maling tao para lang makarating sa'yo."
Freya laughed through tears. "Ang tagal mo."
*Him:* "I know. Anong nangyari na naman?"
*Freya:* "I spoke my mind again. I told him I didn't like how he left me on read. And then he left me. Forever this time. Am I really that difficult?"
*Him:* "No. You were just talking to the wrong person. Come here, tell me everything. Yung totoo. Yung magulo. Yung may tampo."
*Freya:* "Baka iwan mo din ako. Lagi nila akong iniiwan pag nagiging totoo na ako."
*Him:* "Then let me be the first one who doesn't. I would rather take all your harsh words, all your 2AM rants, all your 'ang hirap mo intindihin' moments — than let you go. If your words are harsh, it's because your heart has been holding it for too long. So let it out. On me."
*Freya:* "What if what’s in my mind is too much? What if I complain too much?"
*Him:* "Then I will listen too much. I won't fix you, Freya. I won't tell you 'you're being sensitive.' I will just brush it off like, 'Okay, that's nothing we can't handle. Ano pa? What else is bothering my girl?'"
Freya finally cried — not the quiet, pretty cry, but the ugly, soul-tired one.
*Freya:* "I just wanted someone to listen. Yun lang. Not to leave."
*Him:* "I’m listening. And I’m not going anywhere. So tell me, love — anong masakit ngayon? Tell me all of it. I can take it."
And for the first time in a long time, Freya didn't filter herself. She spoke. And someone stayed.

Then a loud knock on her door brought her back to reality.
... And that's when she decided to just focus on her own life and let life takes its course.
